An aromatic perennial whose stems and flowers yield a green tinged yellow dye when chopped up and simmered gently in water for 45 mins to an hour.
Being incredibly aromatic, tansy was historically used as a natural insect repellant. With fern like leaves and button flowers, growing to 3 feet (1m), Tansy is a late cottage garden favourite, flowering june to sept but often flowering well into the autumn, still attracting those nectar loving pollinators. Tansy is not a particularly fussy plant tolerating sun/shade it prefers well drained soil.
Supplied in 9 cms/1 litre pots.
